Description The article deals with the support for the Czech companies from the Operational Programme Industry and Enterprise OPIE), that is the most important source for the support of SMEs and their investment projects. Despite the fact that a grant is in fact backward financing (the amount of a grant is paid after the completion of a project based on paid invoices and expenditures), grants can considerably improve the competitiveness of companies that acquire a grant. The aim of this article is to analyze the support schemes of OPIE from the view of applicants aktivity and their legal form and regional aspects.
