| Description | The crucial point in the prophylaxis of posterior capsule opacification after cataract extraction is elimination of the most count of the epithelial cells. The special device, Milvella Perfect Capsule TM, makes it possible by irrigation of the capsular bag by a hypotonic solution after cataract extraction. Short time exposition of a hypotonic solution leads to lysis of lens epithelial cells without damage of the capsular bag.There are represented results of using Milvella Perfect Capsule TM during cataract extraction in 20 patients. The occurrence of posterior capsule opacification are evaluated after 6 months and 1 year after cataract extraction. The device Perfect Capsule TM is a simple and effective device in prophylaxis of posterior proliferative capsule opacification. |
