| Description | We have proved that macarpine (MA) stains nucleic acids. MA, briefly enter living cells and interact with DNA. MA bind DNA stochiometrically and can report the DNA content at a resolution level adequate for cell cycle analysis. MA can also be used as supravital fluorescent DNA probe both in fluorescence microscopy and flow cytometry including multiparameter analysis of peripheral blood and bone marrow. |
