Description | Ethical issues and dilemmas faced by psychologists during psychological assessment are profoundly affected by their work environment. The aim of the study was to recognize and describe ethical issues specific to various contexts of psychological assessment. Individual interviews and group discussions with both young and more experienced psychologists working in clinical, counselling, managerial and forensic psychology were conducted. Discussed ethical issues were divided into six areas. Another result of the study is related to solution of ethical dilemmas: the decision process is more or less intuitive and determined mostly by the “do no harm” principle. |
