Description The paper is focused on a modelling of economic efficiency in industrial enterprises in the Czech Republic. The level of economic efficiency can be measured by an economic efficiency index (ratio of real and maximum efficiency). Index, which is deduced in the article, stands on the neoclassic model of the firm. Further, analogically, there is constructed business economic model of the firm (resulting from both the neoclassic model and accounting data), which is helpful for the construction of an economic efficiency ratio in practice and for the measurement of the efficiency level in the sample of industrial enterprises. The legitimacy of a procedure and results were tested by the mean of regression equations with usage of computer programme MATLAB.
