| Description | There is extensive literature on the inheritance of drug dependence. Findings from studies of twin pairs, adoptees, and half-siblings and their families are broadly consistent with an important genetic contribution to the risk of drug dependence. Details about genetics and neurobiology of drug dependence and implications to the care about drug dependent people are discussed. |
