Field Air pollution and control
Keywords solar radiation; Factor of turbidity
Description The solar radiation is very influenced when penetrating through the atmospere, so the properties of both the direct and scattered light strongly depend on the actual state of the turbidity of the atmosphere. We offer some simple experiments to determinate the pollution of the air by measurements on solar cells. We use a luxmeter and set of colour filters to observe the changes of the solar spectrum during a day. These experiments are suitable for school practice.
