Description In this work we examined numerous influences of particular sample preparation steps to observe whether their variation may affect the final output of data processing.Direct MALDI-MS analysis of bacteria extracts with subsequent evaluation using spectra libraries represents a new and rapid technique for microorganism identification. Numerous laboratories have developed approaches leading to successful distinguishing of desired bacteria strains; however, there are several differences in described sample treatment protocols, which might delimit their universality. The genus Pseudomonas (Prokaryotes, Proteobacteria, Gammaproteobacteria) can be an example of environmentally and clinically important genus with complicated and evolving taxonomy and problematically distinguishable species. The genus is phylogenetically very heterogeneous and comprises species ubiquitous in soil and water ecosystems and important as plant, animal and human pathogens.
