Description UV-B light is ubiqitous stress factor mainly for photosynthetic organisms which are dependent on solar radiation. Many lichen species are able to colonize environment with high values of solar radiation and therefore also high UV-B light. The aim of this study was to test the effect of different UV-B light intensities on primary photosynthetic processes in two lichens with different susceptibility to high light - Xanthoria parietina grows in open habitats, while Lobaria pulmonaria is shade adapted species.
