| Description | We presupposed the word to can be in the Czech non-subjective structures: a) an expletive subject (V křoví to zapraskalo); b) a connective particle (Venku se zatáhlo. To tam už prší); c) an emotional particle (To ale mrzne!); d) a referential word (V půl osmé, to už je ráno). In the syntactical structure with the verbs and predicates pršet, sněžit, stmívat se, stýskat se, ulevit se is the word to usual a particle, in the structures with the verbs hučet, šumět, šustit, hřmít/hřmět, zábst, praskat, skřípat, jiskřit, vřít, hrknout is the word to usual an expletive. The expletive to is never situated in begin of the sentence. The emotional or connective particle to or the referential word to are always situated in begin of the sentence. The expletive to cannot be substituted for another word, the particle or the referential word to can be always substituted for other words of the same or similar meaning. Those syntactical structures have been found in the Czech National Corpus SYN2000. |
