Description The article deals with the detailed analysis of the case law of the European Court of Justice which concerns special jurisdiction in matters concerning insurace and employment contracts included in the Council Regulation (EC) No 44/2001 on Jurisdiction and Recognition and Enforcement of Judgements in Civil and Commercial Matters. The special rules of jurisdiction are called protective rules because their objective is to improve the position of subject which is deemed to be a weaker party.
