| Description | Paper offers an analysis of positive effects and negative consequences of suburbanization of a "typical" suburban locality that grew up in the outskirts of Kuřim town in the Brno metropolitan region during 2000-2006. Attention has been paid to the effects of migration on the population structure and to the new problems the local government has to deal with. A wiev "from above" based on migration and other statistical data is combined with a wiev "from below" based on experiences and opinion of people living in the locality. |
