Description This paper summarizes new findings and results of micropetrographic, chemical and microchemical study of postmedieval pottery found at Strachotín, Břeclav disctrict. Experimental results prove that normative minerals content obtained from chemical silicate analysis represents relevant basis for the identification of ceramic raw material composition. Microchemistry of pottery glazings was studied using Cameca SX100. New microprobe and so far non-reffered-to inorganic pigments used in medieval glazing formulae were indentified
