Keywords Molten fluoride salt; cooling circutit; transmutor; nuclear reactor; corrosion; structural material
Description Interaction of molten fluoride salts LiFNaF with candidate structural materials for pipelines of cooling circuits for nuclear reactors transmutors was studied using test ampoules and test bodies at temperatures around 600 degrees centigrade in argon atmosphere. Corrosion was investigated by means of electron microprobe, laser ablation inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry of corroded sourfaces and by inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry of solutions prepared of exposed fluoride salts
