| Description | The article is a response to Mathauser's argument that literature has the ability to anticipate. Anticipation as the scientific method is not the only way to anticipate future events. Definition of anticipation in relation to extrapolation, prediction, prognosis etc. might lead to the question whether literature has something in common with modeling. |
