Description One of the traditional parts of experimental research in economics is devoted to the experiments studying voluntary contribution mechanism to public goods. Results of experiments carried out tend to reject general theoretical conclusion about predominant free-riding. The main research has dealt with definition of the influence of selected characteristics (factors), which can increase or decrease the rate of contribution. The paper summarizes results of our experiments. Our experiments come out from standard methodology and we worked mostly with Czech university students. The experiments carried out had two forms: (i) face-to-face treatment (real, personal interaction between subjects), (ii) through PC terminal (subject do not posses personal contact with others). Main hypothesis was as follows: Subject not being in personal contact with others cooperate less and contribute smaller amount to public good. Besides main hypothesis we are interested in some other factors that can alleviate free-riding (importance of money payment to subjects, education, gender, etc.)
