| Description | The paper concentrates upon the analysis of the typology elaborated by Kris Deschouwer. This typology aims to distinguish party types according to the territorial pervasiveness of parties and to their electoral performance in two-level institutional settings. The chances to upgrade the original typology of Deschouwer in order to capture both intra-level pervasiveness of parties and their performance across-levels in complex settings with three or more levels of representation and governance are discussed in the final part of the paper. |
