Description Although the overall course of university agendas electronization is indisputable the extent and obviosity of "paperlessness" is far from balanced in various areas of university life. Apparently the most progressively growing is study and teaching while areas like economics and human resources are much more conservative. Nonetheless, even in these areas the classic paperwork gradually changes into fully electronic processing, including electronic flow, acknowledging and authorizing. The paper presents several case studies of converting economic and administrative offices into "e-offices" at Masaryk University in Brno. The studies cover electronic financial control, electronic applications for the leave of absence, electronic travel warrants, electronic payment bills, electronic time sheets and electronic public tenders. Besides major solution principles, experience gained and lessons taken are described in each study. Finally, a summary is given in form of several general recommendations and warnings.
