| Description | Chronic leg ulcers significantly decrease quality of life of the patients. The main reason for this fact is the pain which can influence most physical, social and psychologic dimensions. Patients also have problems with impaired mobility, sleep disturbance, appetite impairment, lack of energy, restrictions in their work and leisure activities, social isolation and frustration with lack of self-esteem. Most leg ulcers are chronic so that these problems are long-termed. The patient care must be more intensively focused on quality of life. |
