| Description | The article presents the most important theories of educational intervention in institutional care. The object of the research is "re-training" institutions (prisons, etc.). We focus on the analysis of approaches of various authors. We provide an overview of historical development of approaches to re-training as well as current state. The article focuses on approaches to resocialization and re-training in broad perspective. It defines concepts of up-bringing and socialization and relates them to concepts of re-training and resocialization. Furthermore, we deal with issues connected to approaches to behaviour difficulties with main focus lying on re-training. As a conclusion, the article mentions the main barriers to the process of re-training in institutional care. |
