| Description | The chapter assesses the position of the Czech Republic in the framework of selected group of countries on the basis of several groups of indicators. The attention is firstly attended on assessment of competitiveness of the CR in two reputable evaluations of competitiveness. Consequently, the innovation performance of the CR is compared through European Innovation Scoreboard. Then the Czech Republic is compared with other countries in respect of share of innovative firms. The attention is also paid on research and development, especially expenditures and human resources in R and D. The chapter is closed by comparison in the field of technology-intensive production and knowledge-intensive services. |
