| Description | Methods based on laser ablation are widely used for elemental mapping of different types of samples and for depth profiling. Methods based on LA are laser induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) and laser ablation inductively plasma mass spectrometry (LAICPMS). Both are based on the same sampling however each exploits different phenomenon for analysis. |
