• Description: The research was focused on the assessment of Quaternary activity of the Hluboká fault between the villages Munice and Vráto in southern Bohemia, using geophysical and borehole survey, paleoseismological trenching and OSL dating of geological structures. The fault zone was exposed by two trenches, which uncovered strongly deformed vertical contact of Cretaceous sands and clays with Permian sediments. OSL dating revealed that the latest tectonic movement on this fault segment took place 21 ky ago.
