Description Small scale medieval figurines are found within archeological context across modern central Europe, thouroughtout the High and Late Middle Ages. The production evolved from hand-carved to část-made plastics where the cast was used to shape facial features. The paper applies 3D laser scanning technology and advanced shape analysis while studying facial morphology of 6 anthropomorphic figurines. This application of an advanced approach may serve as a guideline to studying a variety of archeological items.
