| Description | Application of molecular-biological methods on study of skeletal remains is beneficial especially for sex determination in children skeletal remains, incomplete skeletal remains (without skull and pelvis) and also fragmented skeletal remains. In these cases is the traditional morphologic and morphometric sex determination considerably problematic. Application of molecular-biological methods seems to be suitable approach for obtaining new data about historic population. As an example of application of these methods we can mention the sex determination in individals from burial site Pohansko - The South Outer Precinct. |
