| Description | Educational review of literature defines specific attributes of cancer therapy in relation to requirements of cost effectiveness analyses (CEA). Contribution of two principal sources of data is discussed and compared: outcomes from clinical trials and data collected in clinical practice. Review addresses methodical aspects related to information inputs for CEA and problems with data accessibility in hospital information systems; usage value of different types of data, limits and risks of bias are discussed as well. Critical analysis evaluates accessibility of clinical data in the Czech health care system. |
