Description The main aim of the text is to analyze the strategies interest groups use to promote their interests. The research included interest groups representing business and employer interests at the national level in the Czech Republic. The secondary research goal is thus to analyze the differences between groups representing employers and groups representing business in general. Five assumptions were formed based on the insider – outsider theory. 1)There is a difference between how employer and general business groups pursue their interests. 2) Employer groups are more institutionally incorporated into the decision making process then business groups. 3)The level of institutional incorporation is connected with the choice of strategies. 4)The higher the level of groups institutional incorporation into the decision making process, the more it uses insider strategies. 5)The lower the level of the groups institutional incorporation, the more it uses outsider strategies.
