| Description | The chapter deals with regulation of social policy in the EU that consists of labour law and social security law. It provides an overview of fields of labour law and social security law regulated by the EU with respect to its competencies to take measures governing these fields. Detailed attention is paid to fundamental principles the social policy is based on, in particular the principle of equal treatment and non-discrimination, the specific regulation of some fields of labour law that are a result of social dialogue at EU level and social security of persons enjoying the right to free movement. |
