| Description | In the 16th century, under the influence of social changes, the apron became a symbol of the perfect housewife who takes care of the household and the family. In the 18th century the romantic interest in nature and the country appeared, and aristocratic women therefore wore imitations of folk clothing with aprons as costumes in garden parties. |
