| Description | When browsing recently issued monographs on Czech composers of the 20th century presents some adventure not only their content but also method and structure. How to adjust the categories of production and individual line of development to the architecture of composer's monography? When describing the whole life and work, can we apply the classical Platonic model or is it better to reach for post-modern methods of investigation of the issue? When asked how the work reflects the composer's method in his biography, this paper will attempt to answer this question by focusing on handling the estate of the exile Czech composer Jan Novák (1921-1984). He would, as Karel Husa, this year celebrated its 90th anniversary of the birth. |
