| Description | The study describes how location-based services are presently used in education at all types of schools. Apart from the use of services such as Foursquare it also deals with the options offered by so-called augmented reality, which transcend the area of academic research and becomes a part of everyday life with the help of mobile devices. This advancement in technology thus opens brand new ways of students' involvement in their education. On the basis of technological overview the study further argues the possible developments of location-based services, which involves the principles of open-source hardware and NFC technology. |
