How does MU approach the use of AI tools?

Recent years have brought many new tools that students and teachers can use in their learning & teaching. You can read more about tools based on various forms of artificial intelligence or neural networks (AI) in the MU E-learning portal in IS (Czech only).

Statement on the Application of Artificial Intelligence in Teaching at Masaryk University can be found on the Official notice board. MU is positive about the ethical and transparent use of AI and sees its potential. Therefore, the principles of academic integrity must be observed when using AI, similar to the use of other tools, and Recommendations on the use of artificial intelligence tools in fulfilling study requirements have been developed. These include, for example, examples of different levels of AI use and appropriate citation of these tools. The possibility or degree of use of AI in fulfilling study obligations always depends on the specific nature of the assignment and the instructions of the lecturer or supervisor.
