What about compulsory PE?
Students in most full-time Bachelor's and five-year Master's degree programmes must earn 2 credits from Physical Education during their studies. Some programmes are exceptions. One course is worth one credit. Physical Education is provided by the Centre for University Sport.
Only students with a doctor's recommendation or athletes who regularly participate in varsity or performance sports and students who wish to recognise PE from another programme may apply for an attendance exemption.
You can choose from a range of sporting activities, which are listed under the codes P9..., according to your sporting focus, interests and time possibilities. You can enrol in the same course more than once. Courses taught in English are designed for students studying the programme in English.
You may enrol in one sports activity course per semester with regular attendance and one training course (summer or winter). The course can be taken in any semester of study.
Registration for Physical Education courses will take place in registration waves, meaning that upperclassmen have priority registration. Each student may register for only one physical education course in a given semester.
The day after you register, you will receive a prompt from the information system (IS) to complete the Safety in Physical Education training, which you must complete within seven days. If the training is not completed, IS will de-register the course and allow the next students in the sequence to register.
