Course of the Modern Greek Language - Beginners (in Czech)
The course is designed to first enable students to acquire the Greek alphabet and basic communication phrases. In the next stage, they develop the fundamentals of Modern Greek to be able to engage in simple conversations in the language. Learners work with contemporary conversational textbooks, with a strong emphasis on communication skills. However, all fundamental language skills are practised, including listening and reading comprehension, as well as spoken and basic written expression. As part of the language instruction, students are also introduced to Greek culture and current affairs, gaining an overall awareness of present-day Greece.
The course is open to the general public and requires no prior knowledge.Course terms

About course
What you will learn
Upon completing the course, the student will be able to understand simple spoken Modern Greek, with a focus on everyday activities, and engage in conversations on basic daily-life topics (such as introductions, personal information, restaurant, etc.). They will also be able to comprehend simpler texts related to these topics, write short and basic texts, and apply the grammatical structures covered in the course. Their proficiency will correspond to the A1 level of the CEFR.
Employment prospects
A graduate can apply their knowledge in basic conversations in Greek. They can also continue their studies in the Greek for Pre-Intermediate course.How to enrol
