The course will provide knowledge about various types of scheduling problems from both a theoretical and practical perspective, it will show general solution methods used for scheduling problems as well as the most important approaches used for specific scheduling problems in practice.

The participant will

  • be familiar with scheduling issues from a theoretical and practical perspective.
  • be able to identify and describe various scheduling problems that occur in practice.
  • know generally applicable methods for solving scheduling problems in industry and services.
  • know algorithms and solution methods for specific scheduling problems such as project planning, assembly line operation scheduling or teaching scheduling.
  •  be able to solve scheduling problems with the help of the studied algorithms and methods.
