AI in Practice: From Idea to Prototype (in Czech)

Do you want to test your idea, learn how to work with AI in practice, and turn your idea into a functional prototype?

This course will guide you through the entire process—from the initial idea through research, data analysis, and ideation to the creation of a coherent AI solution.

The course combines design thinking, creative work with AI tools, and practical experimentation. Participants will learn to use large language models (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.) not only as writing aids, but as strategic partners in the design of services, products, and processes.

Product teams, start-ups, and small businesses that want to create or test an AI idea; employees of educational, cultural, and non-profit organizations; project managers, designers, researchers, and lecturers; anyone who wants to turn an idea into a concrete prototype and learn how to work with AI effectively.

About course

What you will learn

Field knowledge:

Graduates will be able to:

explain the principles of design thinking (Double Diamond) and their use in the innovation process,

describe the basic types and functions of artificial intelligence tools (especially large language models and generative tools),

explain the possibilities of using AI for research, analysis, visualization, prototyping, and presentation,

distinguish between the design and testing phases of AI-driven services, products, and processes,

identify the ethical, security, and social aspects of using AI,

describe the principles of prompt engineering and its role in effective communication with AI tools.

Field-specific skills:

Graduates will be able to:

design and implement the prototyping process using AI tools,

apply the principles of design thinking in the creation of innovative solutions,

formulate, test, and optimize prompts for different types of tasks,

use AI tools for content generation, data analysis, visualization, and presentation creation,

independently or in a team, prepare and present a proposal for an AI solution,

use research and analytical methods to verify user needs and the relevance of an idea,

effectively connect various AI tools within the design process.

General competencies:

Graduates are able to:

independently manage a small innovation or design project using AI,

critically evaluate the benefits, risks, and limitations of artificial intelligence in professional practice,

reflect on their own approach to AI and develop digital competencies in the areas of creativity, analysis, and innovation,

communicate and collaborate in an interdisciplinary team when designing AI solutions,

present and defend their own project before a professional or lay audience,

apply the acquired knowledge and skills in a professional context (e.g., education, culture, public administration, business).

Employment prospects

Graduates of this course are able to independently design, test, and present prototypes of services, products, or processes based on the use of artificial intelligence tools. They know how to use the principles of design thinking (Double Diamond) in combination with AI tools to effectively verify ideas and solve problems in practice.
