The Faculty of Law of Masaryk University is one of the prestigious legal and educational institutions in the Czech Republic as well as abroad. The history of its activities goes back to the very beginning of its birth in 1919, when it was one of the four founding faculties of Masaryk University. With its solid historical background today it is often characterized as a modern, dynamic faculty, where the central focus is linking teaching and research.
Students Pilar Martínez from Venezuela and Daniela Morales from Mexico have not been idle during their semester-long exchange at Masaryk University – both teach Spanish in language schools in their free time.
Twenty-seven-year-old Norwegian Eirik Karlsen worked in the army for three years but then found out during a first-aid training session that he was drawn to working with and treating people. So, he decided to go back to school again, this time as a general medicine student at MU.
For the first time outside the continent and straight to the snowy Czech Republic. For New Zealand law student Joycintta Lavemaau, three weeks spent at the MU Winter School was a great experience, which she will pass on to other students through her work.
American student Samuel Handy would like to work for NATO or teach English somewhere in Russia in the future. That’s why he chose Masaryk.
