MU is operating following the university traffic-light system. The university currently has a “WHITE LIGHT” rating, determined by the MU Crisis Board. University faculties, institutes, and offices may declare a higher alert level than the university-wide level or introduce stricter rules than elsewhere at the university. The Grant Agency of Masaryk University held its annual conference in the Augustinian Abbey last Wednesday, 30 November. It included, for the third time, the MUNI Scientist Award ceremony.
From Wednesday 19 October, the famous Russian historian Andrey Borisovich Zubov teaches a six-week course at Masaryk University titled Reasons for the Russian catastrophe of the 20th century and possibilities to overcome it. Over 100 MU students have signed up for the limited special series of lectures and nearly 4,000 others have already watched the lectures online.
Czech President Miloš Zeman has signed appointment decrees for new professors nominated by the scientific and artistic councils of Czech universities. Seven of them are connected with Masaryk University.
