University measures taken regarding COVID-19
- MU is operating following the university traffic-light system. The risk assessment level is currently WHITE. It is not compulsory to wear respirators in all MU buildings.

MU is operating following the university traffic-light system. The university currently has a “WHITE LIGHT” rating, determined by the MU Crisis Board. University faculties, institutes, and offices may declare a higher alert level than the university-wide level or introduce stricter rules than elsewhere at the university. Follow the websites of individual faculties and the colour-coded signs hanging on the exteriors of MU buildings.

Commemorative gathering marks 84th anniversary of Nazi closure of universities
On 13 November, representatives of Masaryk University will pay tribute to the victims of the Nazi occupation at a memorial meeting of the MU academic community in the Kounic Residence Hall.

Ombuds already dealing with first cases
The protection of the rights of students and staff at MU has so far been covered by many mechanisms and processes across different departments. Now the University has centralised the protection of rights in one person and office. The new position is held by the Ombuds Eva Janovičová.

MU scores well in Shanghai ranking of academic subjects
Shanghai Ranking, a leading ranking company, recently released an international comparison of higher education institutions by subject area. Masaryk University secured a spot in the world’s top 200 in two subjects, and it is currently the top-ranking institution in the Czech Republic in three subjects.

The list of recipients of Masaryk University’s doctor honoris causa has grown by two new names.
