On 2 September a traffic-light rating system was introduced at MU. The university currently has a “red light” rating, determined by the MU Crisis Board. University faculties, institutes, and offices may declare a higher alert level than the university-wide level or introduce stricter rules than elsewhere at the university. Follow the websites of individual faculties and the colour-coded signs hanging on the exteriors of MU buildings.
CEITEC Masaryk University is offering priority access, free of charge, to their equipment in shared laboratories including research expertise for research that may lead to the development of a vaccine or drug against COVID-19.
Three Masaryk University laboratories were set aside for possible coronavirus testing.
The exam period for spring semester 2020 is extended and exams will be held from May 18 to September 30. The faculties are also recommended to offer students the September dates of the final state exams.
Today, the rector of Masaryk University Martin Bareš has decided to extend the measures that were taken in order to prevent the spreading of coronavirus.
