The core of suggest project is the analysis of impact that the entrance of the Czech republic into the EU may have on small and medium enterprises. These impact shell by in the form of new structure of opportunities and threats and they are percevied by the enterprises as factor that stimulate and absorb the estabilishing and development of small and medium enterpises. The indentification of those mentioned opportunities and threats from the area of business conditions as well as from the area of the institutional support of small and medioum entrepreneurship should help us to propose appropriate solutions to eliminate the negative aspects and develop the positive factors that influence the development of the structure of small and medium enterprises and their interest and economical joining under the conditions of the Czech market economy as a part of the EU.
