The aim of this project is to employ quantitative analysis to establish a framework for studying the interconnected nature of SES, participation in classroom, peer social status, and academic achievement in lower-secondary classrooms, which will lead to greater understanding how changes in student social status in classroom and participation patterns may alleviate negative effects of SES on academic achievement.
