The Alliance brings together 8 teaching focused and research-intensive universities: The universities of Potsdam (coordinator), Cagliari, Jaume I, Masaryk, Paris Nanterre, Pécs, Rennes and South-Eastern Norway, as well as associated partner universities Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University (Ukraine) and Nottingham Trent University (UK). EDUC provides its students with an integrated Educational entry-point for enhancing and internationalising their studies – be it through virtual and blended formats or physical mobilities among partner universities, challenge-based formats or stand-alone flagship courses and initiatives. Through strong institutional anchoring, EDUC’s activities work as catalysts for and in synergy with existing mobility offers and educational initiatives deployed by faculties and international offices. EDUC places digitalisation in the service of human dignity and a seamless student journey at the centre of its shared digital infrastructure, leading to sustainable digital services – for all stakeholders. EDUC has become an integral part of all partner universities, through structured governance design. Cooperating as a reliable Alliance enhances visibility and nurtures a vibrant pan-European education and research network, especially in a present climate of deepening global challenges. [SC1] The Alliance targets its offers to retain talent and foster challenge-based learning opportunities. EDUC serves its community by co-creating and co-reviewing the Alliance’s local impact. As such, it becomes a platform for good practice exchanges and pooling strengths to identify solutions for the challenges faced by its members and regions.
Serving roughly 200.000 students, 13.500 staff and 17.500 teachers and researchers, EDUC expects to further raise the attractiveness of its 8 partner universities, favour the employability of its students and graduates, and strengthen the resilience of the connected regions.
