| Description | One of the ways to promote the teaching of physics, is the use of computer simulations. Paper presents Algodoo, a simulation tool for the demonstration of mechanical and optical phenomena in elementary, middle and high school. The main emphasis is put on the real description of the physical properties of individual components and the discovery of how the mechanism works. The paper describes the capabilities of simulation tools and presents it on case studies pendulum motion and Newton's cradle. |
