Description | The paper explores consequences that choice of scoring method for assessing receptive skills can have on test specifications and construct being measured. The scoring methods will be discussed from the perspective of reliability and practicality of a test and their contribution to overall usefulness of the test in a concrete testing situation of the Faculty of Economics and Administration of MU. The paper also focuses on benefits and compromises resulting from revision of traditional approaches to scoring test items which was entailed by language test and assessment standardisation process launched at the Language Centre of Masaryk University. |
