Description Quartz is one of the most frequent minerals in the earth crust, it’s presence in rocks is one of criteria for rocks classification and has a couple of properties which are important for industrial technology. Using optical microscopic methods for observation of pure translucent quartz crystals – rock crystals – it is possible to find different phases (liquids, gas and solids-minerals) trapped inside of cavities of crystal lattice – fluid inclusions. An investigation of fluid inclusion compositions and properties is used for determination of conditions of mineral precipitation and of associated geological proceses.
