Citation
Description European foreign-language policy endeavours to develop intercultural communicative competence already in early stages of the foreign-language teaching-learning process, which is suggested in strategic documents on which Czech curricular documents are based. Ambitions of the projected curriculum however often remains unfulfilled and intercultural communicative competence is developed rather partially in practice. This is also associated with questionable approaches to the evaluation of intercultural communicative competence. The article describes how conducted action research treated intercultural communicative competence development in projected, realised and attained curricula. The aim of the article is to introduce implemented interventions and their impact on intercultural communicative competence development in writing in English in the ninth grade of the lower secondary school and practice itself.
