Description The transition to a post-carbon economy is urgent, if we are to limit the global average temperature increase below 1.5°C. Modelling approaches informed by the experience and assumptions of experts from the sectors that play a critical role in the transition can help to really understand the options we have. The energy sector is among the most important examples. We involve experts on renewable energy in the modelling process by inviting them to create assumptions about developments in their sector until 2030 and 2050. The answers inform an input-output model, assessing the distributional employment effects of the transition.
