Description The second revised edition of the original book from 2015, which was sold out, has been extended by chapters focused on administering the arts. Thus, the interpretation of contemporary art history has been enriched with another theoretical dimension. The Book ‘Art without Revolutions? Changes in Contemporary Art’ offers research and methodological model of one possible approach towards the history of modern and contemporary art. We ask whether we should consider it a set of dramatic and break-through steps or if we can take the history of art as natural progress and development. Can we really talk about art without revolutions? Each chapter is trying to show that when perceiving art, it is necessary to follow innovative and continuous features and their interconnection.
