| Description | The study deals with taxonomy, tafonomy, paleoecology and biostratigraphy of ostracod fauna collected from the rocks of lower tournaisian of a profile from northeast part of Lesní quarry in Líšeň. Material is obtained by maceration of hemipelagic and calciturbidite limestones in 15% acetic acid and subsequent sieving through sieves and then studied under an optic microscope. Studied material suggests, that the environment in which it was present could be somewhere on the border of more shallow bentic environment and deeper waters, because the material is a combination of shells of abundant ornamented palaeocopids like for example the genus Amphissites GIRTY 1910, which indicate a water environment with higher energy, genera Acratia DELO 1930 and Bairdia M’COY 1844, which can occur in both environments and smooth surfaced spiny forms, like genus Rectonaria GRÜNDEL 1961, typical for thuringian ecotype. |
