| Description | The book focuses on the relation between word and image in the Czech visual arts in 1920s amd 1960s. It describes how the two forms of communication can co-exist next to each other: seeing can alternate with reading, reading can both support and oppose seeing. So, the boundary between the visual and verbal areas must be perceived as relative,unstable and variable. |
